I receive an error when I am trying to add a learner.

Check if the learner’s email address or phone number added is valid. For phone numbers, ensure that you have included the country code (e.g. 65 9876 5432) at the front of the number.

Check if there are any duplicate IDs, i.e. same ID used for different learners. Each Learner must have their own unique ID so ArcLab can properly track learner analytics.
