Adding Job Roles and Skills
ArcLab Skills Passport lets you define Job Roles for your organisation’s learners with Skills and Requisite Learning to track their Individualised Development Plans.
Defining "Skills"
We recommend starting with Defining Skills that fulfil the requirements for Job Roles that you would define later.
Select “Learners” at the top your Dashboard >> Select the “Skills” menu tab >> Click “Add New Skill” green button.
In the “Add New Skill” pop-up window, you can:
- Name your Skill
- Define how long (in months) each Skill’s Credential is valid for
- Set the Skill Pathways (ArcLab modules / folders) that learner can complete to satisfy this Skill
You can also allow certificates from courses outside the ArcLab platform by toggling the “Enable Learner Pathways” button at the top right of the pop-up
Selecting “Add Pathways” will open up your list of published ArcLab modules and folders that you can select to meet the Skills critieria.
Select the relevant module(s) or folder(s) using the checkbox column, then click the “Add” green button at the bottom right.
Back in the main “Add New Skill” pop-up window, click “Add Skill” green button at the bottom right.
You’ve now defined a Skill which can be applied to Job Roles.
Defining "Job Roles"
Select “Learners” at the top your Dashboard >> Select the “Job Roles” menu tab >> Click “Add New Role” green button.
In the “Add New Job Role” pop-up window, you can name your Job Role
Set the Skills that this Job Role needs by clicking the “Add Skills” light blue button. This sill bring up a menu for you to select from the Skills that you had previously defined & added into ArcLab.
Once done, click “Add Role” green button at the bottom right.
In the main tab, you can see all the Job Roles you defined, with their Prerequisite Skills.
You are now ready to assign Job Roles to your Learners
